Super Parquet

Super Parquet combines Central French traditional music with electronic production, using repetitive rhythms and textures that mirror elements of modern techno. Instead of preserving folklore in a conventional format, the group blends regional heritage with electronic instrumentation to create a high-energy live experience.

The band operates at the intersection of two distinct musical backgrounds. Antoine Cognet, Louis Jacques, and Léo Petoin focus on the drone-heavy music and triple-time bourrées of Auvergne’s village dances. Meanwhile, Julien Baratay and Simon Drouhin bring elements from electronic music and rave culture, using synthesizers and machines.

By centering their music on shared characteristics between folk traditions and electronic loops, specifically repetitive patterns, drone tones, and acoustic overtones, Super Parquet connects regional history with contemporary club music. On stage, they use traditional instruments, electronics, and custom synths to build a loud, continuous performance structured around regional dance rhythms.

TRUCS

TRUCS is a percussion project based around an unconventional instrumentation of amplified livestock bells and modified drums. The French duo uses this setup to build irregular rhythms, steady beats, and sustained drone tones. Regional folk melodies and Pyrenean harmonies blend into a single, continuous 45-minute piece.

The project is formed by Alexis Toussaint and Romain Colautti, both members of the rock group Artús. Drawing from the pastoral heritage of the Béarn region, they use regional history alongside real-time electronic processing. Their name translates to a strike or collision in the Occitan language, and it also refers to the specific brass bells worn by mountain livestock.

The structure of their performance references the transhumance, the seasonal migration of livestock marked by physical effort and isolation. On stage, the musicians perform face-to-face, surrounded by customized drum kits, traditional stringed tambourines, and a custom framework of hanging bells. This arrangement combines regional dance structures, acoustic overtones, and audio distortion to recreate the sonic environment of the Pyrenean mountains in a venue setting.
