T. Gowdy (CA/DE):
With a background in classical choral music and years of dedication to electronic sound, T. Gowdy’s upcoming release on Constellation Records, Trill Scan, is a hypnotic journey through deconstructed Baroque, medieval music, alchemy, analog minimal techno, and chamber pop.
The Canadian producer’s sound has been described as “gently transportative, flickering like a faulty halogen lamp” and compared to a kind of brain massage—vibrating with effervescent energy and flowing like thought waves coming in and out of focus. With Trill Scan, he expands his sonic palette with greater harmonic complexity, stylistic variety, and narrative depth. The album balances between sacred and deeply personal vocals—sometimes wordless, sometimes lyrical—woven into instrumental compositions that create a warm, immersive listening experience, making it Gowdy’s most musical work to date.
Valdemar Kragelund (DK):
Valdemar Kragelund is a Copenhagen-based multi-instrumentalist who has played everything from punk, jazz, ambient, and noise to avant-garde, reggae, and beyond. Performing under his own name for this concert, he presents an approach to improvised electronic music without pre-recorded tracks and without a computer to synchronize the music. By bringing the tactile feel of acoustic instruments back through modern digital synthesizers and a hands-on approach to analog effects, each performance becomes a unique experience.
Through microtonality and looping, he creates an intense, almost symphonic experience, where long, dynamic buildups and deconstructions resonate with both heart and mind.
Valdemar Kragelund plays with Køs, Jens Konrad, Siamese Serpent, and under the alias Merdh Laleh.
